There were 116 calls to service between Oct. 3 – 9.
Theft from vehicles were reported in 6900 block Grant Road West, Snowden Place, 6400 block Willowpark Way, 6800 block Beaton Road and 2000 block Caldwell Road.
Oct. 7 at 2:30 a.m. emergency personnel were dispatched to a house fire in the 6400 block of Rhodonite Drive. Upon arrival police observed the unoccupied home was completely engulfed. While the Sooke Fire Department worked on extinguishing the flames officers attempted to evacuate neighbours from their residences until the fire was controlledt. At this time the cause of the fire is undetermined but it is suspicious in nature and the matter is still under investigation.
Oct. 10 at 6:50 a.m. a passerby called to report a vehicle in the ditch near Becher Bay Road. The attending officer who found a lone male inside concluded alcohol was involved and issued a 90-day immediate roadside prohibition to the driver from Victoria.
