Caught on video

Security cameras captured images of a man breaking into the government liquor store on Dogwood Street July 12.

At 6:05 a.m. that day, Campbell River RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter to the Government liquor store in the 1400 block of Dogwood Street. Access was gained via a back door, investigators confirmed after a scene examination.

Once inside the suspect removed three cases containing liquor.

Store security video captured images of the  suspect.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the person responsible for this offence.

He is described as male 20-30 years of age 5’10” to 6’ tall approximately 200 pounds.

He was wearing tan colored shorts and a black t-shirt with a white logo on the front.

 

Black bike stolen

 

A 15-speed Triumph Mountain Bike was stolen on July 12 from a residence in the 500 block of Rockland Road.

The owner reported that a thief had stolen the black 15 speed Triumph Mountain Bike. If you have seen this bike please contact the Campbell River Detachment or Crimestoppers.

 

Trailer broken into

 

On July 13, Campbell River RCMP received a report of a theft from a trailer at The Spit Campground.

Unknown suspects had made off with an iPad, an Iphone and a Cannon camera.  Anyone with information on this matter is asked to report same to the Campbell River RCMP or Crimestoppers.

 

Fishing gear hooked

On July 15, RCMP received a report of theft from a boat moored at Fisherman’s Wharf.

The property owner reported that persons unknown had cut through security cables and had then stolen three downriggers, two fishing rods and a tackle box.
