The Kelowna RCMP are looking for a 15 year old girl who took off from a Kelowna group home Sunday morning.
The Kelowna RCMP received a report that Samantha Henman was missing from a group home in downtown Kelowna, just before 1 p.m. July 16.
“Apparently Henman had been staying there for the past two weeks but was set to return home due to curfew violations. Henman packed a suitcase Sunday morning, but seemingly not to return home,” said Const. Kris Clark.
“Henman has apparently gotten into the drug culture and is likely frequenting downtown Kelowna and West Kelowna but did indicate a possible desire to hitch hike to Vancouver. Police are concerned for Henman’s well-being as there are indications she is engaging in high-risk behaviors and has been known to inflict self-harm.”
Henman has gone missing in the past, usually in conjunction with rebelling against house rules. She is described as a Caucasian girl, about 5-foot-8 and 125 pounds with shoulder length dark brown hair and hazel eyes.
Although there has been some contact electronically through social media, police must speak with Henman directly to confirm her well-being.
Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Samantha Henman is asked to call the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
