TERRACE RCMP responded to approximately 30 calls for service from June 8th, 8 a.m. till June 9th, 8 a.m.
During the same time period, there have been six people in Terrace Cells – five of these people were lodged for public intoxication.
Downtown Terrace
a man banned from Safeway went inside of the store and was suspected of stealing. Police spoke with the man outside of the store who denied the allegations.
a wallet was lost at the Royal Bank containing various cards and ID.
false business alarm on Eby St.
false business alarm on Lazelle Ave.
naked man passed out in the men’s washroom of Tim Horton’s on Lakelse Ave. Police informed the man he was under arrest and requested that he get dressed. He responded by defecating. An additional member assisted with the arrest of the 18-year-old man.

Elsewhere Terrace
white Ford F350 blocking traffic on Thornhill St. The truck was gone on police arrival.
a black leather wallet with marijuana leaf designs containing various cards and ID in a blue purse was lost at the Northern Motor Inn.
suspicious activity. Suspected trafficking of a prescription medication. Under investigation.
police observed a white/gold 2005 Ford F150 truck known to have expired insurance and owned by a prohibited driver at the stop sign on Crescent St./Hwy 16. Police pulled the vehicle over. The 22-year-old driver had an action to serve a driving prohibition. The truck did not have insurance and was displaying a plate attached to another vehicle. The truck was towed.
a pair of intoxicated men carrying open alcohol and causing a disturbance on Tetrault St./Haugland Ave. Checks were done of area.
false residential alarm on Birch Ave.
a 47-year-old woman was shot in the leg by a pellet gun on Scott Ave. at 3 a.m. on July 8th. No injuries.
an orange bike with painted flames in the wooded area by the Back Eddy Pub. Checks were done of area.
a woman gave money to a man for a cell phone, but never received the phone. Police gave advice on this civil matter.
yelling and screaming on Olson Ave./Hanson St.
missing prescription drugs.
a man out past a court ordered curfew. Checks determined that he was not on this curfew.
a man no longer welcome at a residence because he was drinking. Police spoke with the 67-year-old man and he left.
disturbance at Agar Ave. Police were met by numerous intoxicated people acting belligerent and irrational. A 17-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy were arrested for public intoxication.
motor vehicle and pedestrian incident on Keith Ave//Sande Overpass. Police spoke with the registered owner who identified the driver. No injuries.
three men swimming in the river near the new bridges. Police located a group of intoxicated people that were swimming and warned them about the dangers associated with this behavior. Police arrested a 40-year-old man for public intoxication.
Rural
Airport Security seized a set of brass knuckles attached to a belt buckle from a 14-year-old boy.
erratic driver in a white truck on Hwy 16 east. A second call was received on the same vehicle. Police located the vehicle parked in the airport parking lot. The 53-year-old driver was passed out with his legs hanging out the window. He provided a sample of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in a fail. He was issued an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.
abandoned boat on Gruchy’s Beach. As police were investigating, people responsible for the boat arrived. It had broken down the night before.
Gitaus
abandoned red truck at the entrance to Gitaus. Police contacted the registered owner.
