A report of a possible shot being fired in the area of Old Yale Road and the Abbotsford-Mission Highway had numerous officers checking neighbourhoods on Friday afternoon.
Police walked streets and checked residences along Old Yale near the overpass.
As of about 2:15 p.m., police had not found any indications of gunfire and are considering the lone call to be unfounded.
Three schools were locked down for about 20 minutes, including Yale Secondary, Fraser Middle and McMillan Elementary, as well as the Abbotsford Recreation Centre.
