Police identify suspect who allegedly pulled a knife on Oak Bay store owner

A warrant for his arrest is pending

Oak Bay police have identified a man who allegedly stole items from a store at Dalhousie Street and Eastdowne Road.

When the suspect was confronted by the store’s owner he pulled out a knife and fled the scene on a bicycle.

The suspect is described as a tall, thin man in his 20s, with a dark complexion.

A warrant for the man’s arrest is pending. Deputy Chief Ray Bernoties noted the man also has warrants from the Victoria Police Department.
