Police locate stolen vehicle in East Sooke

Two Victoria individuals were caught in the truck, which was stolen from Langford, police say

A man and woman from Victoria were arrested on Saturday morning after Sooke RCMP located the two in a stolen pickup truck in East Sooke.

The truck, a 1995 Ford F-350, was reported stolen from Langford earlier.

According to Sooke RCMP Staff Sgt. Jeff McArthur, two syringes with unknown substances were located inside the vehicle, and the ignition was “compromised” by a large screwdriver.

The man, aged 30, and the woman, aged 29, are both known to police.

Both individuals are facing charges of theft over $5,000, and possession of stolen property over $5,000.

Police are still investigating.
