UPDATE (9:30 a.m.): On May 11, at approximately 12:15 a.m., 100 Mile House Frontline members along with a North District General Investigative Section member located and safely arrested Shawn Taylor at an address in the 103 Mile area without incident.
Taylor was cooperative with police upon arrest, according to Staff. Sgt. Svend Nielsen.
A search of the area where Taylor was believed to be eluding police along 103 Mile Lake Road resulted in locating three firearms, ammunition along the top of a ridge. The firearms involved in this offence are believed to have been recovered.
100 Mile House RCMP are still continuing to search for his vehicle, the 1994 Toyota Corolla (green/blue in colour). If located, advise the 100 Mile House RCMP.
” Mile House RCMP-GRC are grateful for the public cooperation and understanding during the past 4 days while we and several specialized units searched for Mr. Taylor,” said Staff Sgt. Svend. “Thankfully, this incident ended without further injury to anyone. We will continue to provide support for the victim and family involved with this file. The investigation is ongoing. UPDATE (6:45 p.m.): Staff Sgt. Svend Nielsen of the 100 Mile House RCMP has confirmed the police are searching for Shawn Taylor in the area.
Taylor is wanted for kidnapping, assault with a weapon and robbery.

ORIGINAL (1:10 p.m.):There is a notable police presence ( 1 p.m., May 10) at Spruce Hill Resort in 108 Mile Ranch.
Police ask the public to stay away from the area for the time being.
