Police have released surveillance footage of a young Caucasian man in a baseball cap breaking into the community mailboxes at the Thunderbird Village apartments on June 14.

The suspect pictured is accused of prying the mailbox open and stealing mail belonging to numerous people.

The suspect is further described as wearing blue jeans, black shoes with white soles, a black hat, and a distinctive blue hoody with a white logo on the heart area and right sleeve.

Residents in the Walnut Grove area, Clayton neighbourhood and other spots have reported their mailboxes being broken into numerous times lately. In one Walnut Grove neighbourhood, the thieves actually stole the people’s identity, creating credit cards in the person’s name and spending upwards of $10,000.
