Getting attention

Apr. 9 – Police became alarmed after hearing a loud banging on the exterior walls of Lytton Detachment. Upon further investigation, RCMP found a heavily intoxicated male sitting on the front steps. Upon his release, he was charged under the Liquor Control and Licensing Act.

Grownup games

Ditched

Apr. 14 – An off-duty officer travelling through Spences Bridge observed a pair of feet protruding from the ditch which paralleled the highway. The officer found a male passed out, who smelled strongly of liquor. He was awakened but seemed disorientated and was subsequently arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. He was lodged into cells where he could sober up in a safe environment.

Assault charges

Apr. 16 – RCMP were called upon to intervene in a fight between two adult males on North Spencer Rd. As a result of the fisticuffs, one male required medical attention for a badly injured shoulder. After speaking with witnesses, police learned that one of the males initiated the brawl. Police are recommending to Crown Counsel that the instigator be charged with assault causing bodily harm.
