Exposed again
A Fort St. James man was re-arrested after what is allegedly his second time exposing himself in public.
On Feb. 22 at 10:05 a.m., the suspect reportedly exposed himself to an adult female on Resort Hill near Stone’s Bay Road.
This was the same man who reportedly exposed himself to two 12-year-old girls near David Hoy Elementary on Jan. 24.
He had been released on conditions, and with the second charge, RCMP are recommending charges of breach of conditions and a second count of indecent exposure.
The suspect was taken into custody again, and then released on the same conditions and was scheduled to make his first appearance in court last week.
Sexual assault
RCMP responded to a report of a sexual assault in one of the apartments at 310 Pineridge on Feb. 24.
The female reporting the assault was taken to the hospital then the women’s shelter.
The male has not yet been identified but the RCMP do not believe there to be a danger to the public, as the victim and suspect had friends in common.
Drinking and driving
A driver stopped for a motor vehicle offence provided a breath sample of 0.18 on Feb. 23.
The sample was more than twice the legal limit for blood-alcohol levels while operating a vehicle.
The driver was released and will appear in court in June.
Domestic
On Feb. 24, at nearly 1 a.m., RCMP responded to an abandoned 9-1-1 call.
When there was no response on the other end, RCMP attended an address on Airport Road and found a female victim who reported she had been assaulted by her common law husband.
RCMP found the suspect to be intoxicated and arrested the man, and are recommending charges of assault and unlawful confinement after the incident.
