Double take

On Sunday, October 9, one officer stopped a vehicle driven by a person without a licence who also happened to have an unlicenced firearm in the vehicle as well. As the officer was dealing with the case, he stopped another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.

The second driver happened to also be driving without a licence and also had an unregistered firearm in the vehicle.

Motor Vehicle Act charges will be filed against the drivers and the guns have been seized. They will be returned to the owners once proper registration papers have been filed.

Four vehicles were vandalized at Five Corners intersection on Tuesday, October 11 in the evening. The vehicles were sitting at the intersection for sale, and had their side windows smashed out by a brake shoe.

Anyone with information in the case can again contact the local RCMP or Crimestoppers.
