Police report

News from the Summerland RCMP detachment over the past week.

House entered

Police were called on May 4 following a break and enter at the 2700 block of Tait Street.

The occupants had been gone for about two hours in the mid afternoon.

The doors in the house were locked, but one of the doors was forced open.

A television was stolen, as well as a speaker system and a keyboard.

Police say nobody in the neighbourhood saw anything. “If anyone sees anything unusual, please call the RCMP,” said Sgt. Stephane LaCroix.

Bicycles stolen

Police have received reports about a number of recent bicycle thefts.

The bicycles were stolen because they were not locked. Police remind everyone to lock their bicycles when they are leaving, even if it’s just for a minute.
