Police search for hit-and-run suspect

Police are searching for a green late-model Ford Explorer after a collision involving a cyclist

Police are searching for the vehicle and driver involved with in a hit and run collision with a cyclist.

On Wednesday, July 12, at 7:02 a.m., the Kelowna RCMP received a report of a hit and run collision involving a cyclist near the intersection of Glenwood Avenue and Richter Street.

The cyclist, a 34-year-old Kelowna man was not significantly injured however his bike was destroyed.

The male driver momentarily stopped at the scene, however he did not stick around for police attendance. The vehicle was described as a green late-model Ford Explorer and was last seen heading eastbound on Glenwood Avenue.

RCMP are continuing their efforts to identify and locate the suspect vehicle involved in this hit and run collision.
