Victoria police are searching for this man and another in connection with a recent break and enter.

Police are asking for the public’s help with identifying two men who may be connected to a break and enter at a Fernwood home, where a woman’s car and credit card were stolen while she was sleeping.

The incident happened between 3:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 25. The suspect entered the home through an unlocked front door, then stole items including a wallet and car keys. The victim’s car, parked out front, was also taken, but the vehicle has since been recovered.

The investigation revealed the victim’s credit card was used for a purchase at a gas station in the 1900 block of Oak Bay Avenue at 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 26. Video footage shows two persons of interest who used the credit card at two different locations.

The first person is described as a short Caucasian man with a heavy build, approximately 55 years old, and a dark brown moustache. He was wearing a dark brown fur hat with earflaps, sunglasses and a dark green overcoat.

The second person is described as a tall, slim Caucasian man with long brown hair held in a ponytail and a medium-length beard. The man was wearing a multi-coloured thick bomber-style coat and a greenish grey hat with a pattern similar to camouflage.

Anyone with information is asked to contact 250-995-7654 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
