Little is know about a woman who Emergency Service workers removed from the shores of Okanagan Lake Friday morning, but Mounties hope the witness that called police will come forward to shed more light on her situation.
A call to 911 was made at around 11:30 a.m., and police and ambulance were at the Beach Avenue waterfront entrance scene shortly thereafter, said Cpl. Steve Woodcox, at the scene.
“She was pulled out by a witness,” he told reporters, noting she was conscious, but having a hard time breathing.
“The last update I have is she was conscious and being treated in the triage department at Kelowna General Hospital.”
The woman’s name and the circumstances that led her to require help are unclear. Police are hoping the witness to her condition may help.
