The Abbotsford Police Department says it would like to determine the nature of an incident that occurred Friday afternoon in which a woman was pulled into a vehicle but did not fight back or yell for help.
Sgt. Judy Bird said a witness reported observing the incident at about 4 p.m.
A woman was seen walking at Old Clayburn Road and Ash Street. As she walked by a grey/blue 1990s Honda Civic, the occupants honked the horn at her.
Bird said the witness indicated that the woman ignored them and continued walking south on Ash Street, crossing at Redwood Avenue.
The Honda then pulled in front of her and the passenger got out of the car and pulled the woman in.
Bird said that, according to the witness, the woman appeared resistant but did not fight back or yell.
A dark Mercedes Sprinter van was in the area and is believed to have witnessed the event, Bird said.
Police were called to the scene, but both vehicles had left. Bird said police would like to speak to those involved.
The woman is described as Caucasian, in her mid 20s and 5’ 5” with a stocky build. She had red or pink hair or was wearing a red or pink hat. She was also wearing dark-pink pants.
