Police seek public’s help to find missing Canoe man

The Salmon Arm RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating man who was reported missing Aug. 26.

Harold Andre Seaward (known as Andre Seaward,) 55-years-old, is a long-time resident of Canoe. He has been living aboard his boat, 150 meters off of the shore near the Canoe Mill.

Seaward has been known to frequent both the Chase and Enderby areas and may possibly have a truck and camper at or around Mabel Lake. Police have been unable to locate the vehicle.

He was last seen in Canoe approximately one week ago. Also missing is Seaward’s canoe which he uses as transportation between the shore and his boat. The canoe is described as 10 to 12 foot, aluminum with no markings, in poor condition, with a barbecue attached.

Seaward is described as Caucasian, 5’ 7” tall, 150 lbs with brown eyes, grey/brown hair and a moustache.

Police believe that Seaward’s disappearance is not suspicious at this time however police are concerned for the safety of Seaward.
