The Port Alberni RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance to help locate Trevor Ryan Oakley, 34, who hasn’t been heard from since Jan. 3.

Oakley’s mother last heard from him on Jan. 3 when he was known to be staying at the Port Alberni Shelter, Alberni RCMP Cpl. Amelia Hayden said.

“Mr. Oakley indicated to some associates in Port Alberni, that he had met a woman from Nanaimo around Christmas and that he might go to visit her in Nanaimo or on Gabriola Island. He may be in the company of Patricia Roseanne Nataucappo,” Hayden said.

Oakley’s mother reported him missing on Jan. 17, and having now exhausted all investigative avenues, the RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance.

It is unusual for Oakley to be out of contact with his family for so long, Hayden said. “They need to know if he’s OK.”

Oakley is described as a Caucasian male,     183 cm or six feet tall,    82 kg or 181 lbs with short greying dark brown hair, hazel eyes and facial stubble.

Nataucappo is described asf emale, possibly of First Nations decent, 37 years old, 165 cm or 5 feet 4 inches tall, 86 kg or 190 lbs with an olive complexion, shoulder length black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who may have information on Oakley’s or Nataucappo’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Port Alberni RCMP at 250-723-2424 or call Alberni Valley Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
