Several hundred people are still without electricity in Surrey and White Rock.
BC Hydro’s outage map is reporting that approximately 500 people are without power in Surrey and about 10 are without power in White Rock after a windstorm Dec. 20 caused havoc in the area, downing trees and destroying a section of White Rock’s iconic pier.
BC Hydro crews worked throughout the weekend to restore power after what it described as “one of the most severe storms BC Hydro has experienced in years.”
