Oceanside RCMP received 270 complaints the week of Aug. 21-27
Some of the incidents included:
Aug. 21
• Two wallets were reported stolen from a campsite in the area of Horne Lake Road and Bay Road East, Qualicum Beach.
Aug. 22
• Change, an iPad Air 3 and a lunch box were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 3400 block of Goodrich Road, Nanoose Bay.
Aug. 23
• A silver Raleigh mountain bike was found in the 300 block of Island Highway East, Parksville. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.
• A blue CCM mountain bike was found in the 1000 block of Canterbury Place, Qualicum Beach. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.
• A resident reported a telephone fraud by a person posing as an employee of TELUS selling a discount package of services, in Parksville.
• A generator and three inflatable paddle boards were reported stolen in the 1000 block of Shayla Road, Qualicum Beach.

Aug. 24
• Drug paraphernalia and remnants of a small fire in the doorway of a business was reported in the 200 block of Island Highway West, Parksville.
• Election signs were reported defaced in the area of Alberni Highway and Britannia Blvd, Qualicum Beach.
• Six message board batteries were reported stolen in the area of Kaye Road and Chattel Road, Nanoose Bay.
Aug. 25
• A tool kit was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 400 block of Island Highway East, Parksville.
• A commercial sign was reported vandalized in the 1800 block of Kaye Road, Nanoose Bay.
Aug. 26
• The security gate of a business was reported vandalized in the 100 block of Morrison Avenue, Parksville.
• Two truck running boards were reported stolen from a property in the 2000 block of Saddle Drive, Nanoose Bay.
• Exterior water taps were reported left opened twice on a property in the 1000 block of Shayla Road, Qualicum Beach.
• A Stihl gas powered leaf blower was found in the 300 block of Island Highway East, Parksville. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.
• A DVD player and change were reported stolen in a residential break-and-enter in the 3500 block of Island Highway West, Qualicum Beach.
Aug. 27
• A construction site break-and-enter was reported in the 100 block of Jensen Avenue East, Parksville. Suspects fled the scene as police arrived.
• Two storage locker break-and-enters were reported in the 1700 block of Country Road, Qualicum.
• A Ryobi reciprocating saw including 18-volt Ryobi battery pack were reported stolen in the 1900 block of Widgeon Road, Qualicum Beach.
