Tonnes of site prep material has been added to the Molson Coors Canada brewery construction site in Chilliwack.
Motorists may have noticed the ground being raised gradually until it reached flood protection standards over the past few months.
“We have finished adding the pre-load to the brewery site,” said Josh Stewart, spokesperson for Molson Coors Canada in Western Canada.
It took more than 50,000 truckloads of material, he estimated.
“Staged construction will start in over the next few months once the pre-load is completed,” Stewart added.
The plan is to start moving equipment onto the site by mid-2018.
“We are hoping to have product flowing off the line in early 2019,” said Stewart.
Molson officials recently uploaded a panorama shot of the new site to social media to show anyone following the brewery construction updates.
“Bring on the infrastructure,” according to the Molson official in the online post.
