Princeton community forum on Fentanyl tonight

Meet the experts, ask questions, be part of the solution

A forum is being held tonight, Wednesday October 4, to bring Princeton residents together to talk about how Fentanyl has impacted the community, and provide education about the problem.

“We are hoping for a good turnout,” said councillor Rosemary Doughty, who helped organize the event for the municipality.

“We have a number of really qualified speakers.”

Two RCMP officers, two doctors, a nurse and a representative from Interior Health will be on hand at the Fentanyl Forum being held at Riverside Centre, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Information will be provided and questions will be welcomed, she added.

The forum is part of town council’s response to the Fentanyl crisis, which has claimed four lives in Princeton so far this year.

“We are doing something,” said councillor Doug Pateman. “We are taking the initiative to address the problem and that’s a good thing.”
