Princeton trailer fire deemed not suspicious

Man fled the scene because he was afraid, officials were told

A Princeton man whose trailer burst into flames fled the scene before the fire department arrived.

The blaze, which destroyed the fifth wheel, is not considered to be suspicious, according to RCMP Sgt. Rob Hughes.

The fire occurred Jan. 8 at about 6:40 p.m. on an Angela Avenue property.

“There is no evidence to support anything criminal in the nature of the fire,” said Hughes.

The trailer’s occupant later told officials that “he only left because he got scared and didn’t know what to do.”
