Marjorie Pritchard Park phase one improvements have been completed and the park officially opened to the public Saturday.

Marjorie Pritchard Park phase one improvements have been completed and the park officially opened to the public Saturday.

The District of West Kelowna expanded the park in August 2011. In preparation for phase one improvements, a residence and swimming pool were removed in 2012 and required dock upgrades were completed in 2013.

Existing trees and shrubs were removed in December 2013 to improve park sight lines and accommodate new tree and shrub plantings identified in phase one improvements.

Upgrades include: Curb, gutter and sidewalk fronting the park along Pritchard Drive, formalized parking with wider stalls, irrigated landscaping, six-foot wrought iron fencing, swim zone float lines, storm sewers and water main upgrades and a drop off zone with park frontage.

Hours of operation for Pritchard Park are dawn to dusk, approximately from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
