Langley medical marijuana advocate Randy Caine wants to shake up provincial politics.
Caine has run in local government elections and now wants to challenge Mary Polak for the MLA seat for Langley.
He is running as an independent Liberal in the riding of Langley and voters go to the polls May 9, 2017.
“B.C has been dominated for too long by two major voices – big business or big labour,” he said. “I am running as an independent because I want to bring a balanced, inclusive, liberal voice back to B.C. and our community.”
Caine is asking people to show their support and has created a GoFundMe campaign (gofundme.com/2p7frs3z).
He’s also hoping to harness social media to boost support and wants to hear from residents, setting up www.randycaine.com as well.
“I look forward to building a campaign together that raises the issues that matter to you,” Caine said in his announcement.
