The Northern BC Tourism Resiliency Program is expanding its capacity to help local businesses weather the COVID-19 pandemic and have success in the future.
Since the start of the pandemic, the program has helped over 100 businesses in the north by providing meaningful access to tourism and business experts and offering one-on-one support to adapt to new challenges.
Northern British Columbia Tourism — a representative of the Crown corporation Destination BC — administers the program. It has hired two new new business resiliency specialists, Alex Buri and Jennifer Moore, who will work directly with businesses in the area.
“Northern BC is my backyard and the health of the businesses and organizations here are near and dear to my heart,” said Jennifer Moore in a media release.
“It is so exciting to see and hear success stories already coming out of this new program.”
Businesses across the north are encouraged to register for the program online at https://tourismresiliency.ca/nbctrp/ to be paired with a program advisor that will consult and offer customized support.
The program is part of the larger BC Tourism Resiliency Network funded in part by Western Economic Diversification and Island Coastal Economic Trust and is supported in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture.
