Project reviewed

A nearly decade-old development could finally be moving ahead in Coldstream.

A nearly decade-old development could finally be moving ahead in Coldstream.

A subdivision application from 2008 has been resurrected as options are looked at for a new zone.

There is currently a five-unit apartment on the Clerke Road property (the former CKAL radio station building). The application is to divide the lot into three lots to allow the property to be developed as three separate multi-family projects.

But since the property does not conform to the bylaw due to the layout of the existing structure, Coldstream has been looking at zoning changes.

“I think this is a reasonable project and I’d hate for us to hold it up any more than it already has been,” said Coun. Pat Cochrane.

Other housekeeping changes to the existing R3 zone are being held off for official community plan discussions.
