After the federal government rejected Taseko Mines Ltd.’s proposed New Prosperity Gold-Copper Project, Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo MP Cathy McLeod says she feels it is a disappointment to her and to the many people in the Cariboo-Chilcotin who support the mine project as an important economic lifeline.
Cariboo-Chilcotin MLA Donna Barnett is “extremely disappointed,” and says she feels the federal government “turned its back” on rural British Columbia.
