For the first time ever, the folks at Providence Farm therapeutic community have a pumpkin patch on Donnay Drive and Tzouhalem Road. They’re so excited to have their 5,000-pumpkin harvest that they’re inviting the community over to pick out a pumpkin from their patch in support of their charitable works.
“This is the first time that we’ve had a pumpkin patch on Donnay Drive and Tzouhalem Road; we’re very proud of it and trust that everyone who sees it is as happy as we are with the bright orange field,” said Providence Farm executive director Tracy Parow.

The U-pick patch opened on Oct. 18 but before then school children visited the farm for pumpkin hay rides.
Now, from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. daily until Oct. 31 customers can head over and search for their perfect pumpkin. The price is between $4 and $6 per pumpkin depending on the size.
“Our mission is the stewardship of 400 acres of land and the delivery of programs to restore, sustain, and grow the spirit, potential and skills of people, especially those facing barriers to employment or education,” Parow said. “Our therapeutic community activities are nature based, as we believe that caring for the land is, by nature, healing and therapeutic.”
