With more than a million visitors a year, Cultus Lake south of Chilliwack has become the heart of recreation economy in the Fraser Valley.
The Cultus Lake Park Board is working on a plan to help manage the pressures that come with growth.
PlanCultus Community in a Park plan will guide land use and services in the park over the next 20 years with a vision that makes lake health a priority and supports the long-term sustainability of the park, for visitors and residents alike.
A public hearing on the PlanCultus bylaw is set for Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. at Cultus Lake Community School. Copies of Bylaw 1080 and PlanCultus are available at www.plancultus.com and at the Cultus Lake Park office at 4165 Columbia Valley Highway.
