A proposal to build an 11-storey building on Claude Road in Langford will take another step forward next week.
Members of the public are invited to have their say on the project at a public hearing scheduled for Monday’s (May 15) council meeting at 5:30 p.m.
The hearing is in relation to a rezoning application for properties at 2762 and 2768 Claude Rd., to change their zoning from one- and two-family residential to mixed-use residential/commercial to allow for construction of a residential tower with approximately 100 dwelling units.
The original proposal for the project called for 10 storeys, but was revised to 11 to allow for a more slender look to the building and additional on-site visitor parking.
Copies of the complete proposed bylaw and other materials to be considered by council regarding this zoning amendment are available for public viewing between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday at Langford City Hall, 877 Goldstream Ave., leading up to the hearing.
