A virtual information session is set for May 6 for residents of Chilliwack and the Fraser Valley to learn details about the proposed Bridal Veil Mountain Resort.
The project team will be making a brief presentation at the outset of the evening session, and then folks will get a chance to ask questions about the major tourist attraction proposal.
Topics will range from resort design and features, including its two gondolas, as well as summer and winter recreation activities. They will cover the economic benefits, jobs and tourism, as well as environmental stewardship, and plans for consultation with local First Nations.
Resort reps will even touch on “how the Mountain Resort compares to the Cascade Skyline single-gondola project,” according to a news release.
The info session is scheduled for Thursday, May 6, at 7 p.m. The Zoom link can be found on the project page at www.bridalveilmountainresort.ca
Proposed is an all-season mountain resort, led by Norm Gaukel and Robert Wilson, and designed by Brent Harley and Associates, the project would be located in S’ólh Téméxw, the traditional and unceded lands of the Stó:lō people. The project is currently in the ‘expression of interest’ stage of of the development application process.
