Casino Nanaimo’s Card Sharks put their mettle to the pedals to raise cash for the Heart and Stroke Foundation Thursday morning. They raised $7,500 for a turn on the foundation’s big bike making its way around the Island for this year’s fundraising campaign. Sara Mazzei, regional special events coordinator, estimated 18 participating local companies would raise about $40,000 during the bike’s visit Thursday and Friday.
