The Port Alice RCMP are seeking the public’s help in determining who is responsible for dumping three puppies into a port-a-pottie.
On March 17, said RCMP Const. Clayton Twamley, a Village employee was cleaning out a port-a-pottie along the sea walk on Marine Drive. While his machine was sucking the toilet out, the hose became blocked, Twamley said.
The employee stopped to check things out and noticed there were three dead, four-to-six week old, puppies, possibly pit bull, pit bull cross breed in the hose. One couple was investigated, but absolved of any involvement, Twamley said. Anyone with information is asked to call Port Alice RCMP at 250-284-3353.
