Purses stolen at popular Langley parks

Langley RCMP release photos of female suspects

Police are warning people to keep their valuables with them when using Langley’s parks.

Langley RCMP say purses were stolen from parked cars at two popular trail parking lots recently. In both cases, stolen credit cards were used the same day. Police have released surveillance footage of two female suspects.

On April 11, a vehicle parked at Houston Trail was broken into and the owner’s purse was taken. A credit card was used later that day and police allege a woman completed the transaction.

She is described as Caucasian, in her mid 30s, 5’5 tall, dark hair and she was wearing tights, a pink shirt and a workout coat (pictured). The purse is described as silver/brown metallic Coach, containing a white fading into blue Coach wallet inside.

On May 9, the back window of a vehicle was broken at Campbell Valley Park. The owner’s purse was taken from the vehicle along with a sweater and blue and green rugby cleats. Police allege a woman used one of the stolen credit cards.
