Police received a report that pylons had been placed on Highway 3 at Christina Lake on Nov. 23 at 11:50 p.m.
An unknown person had placed two pylons with a pole across the pylons.
“One vehicle drove through and ended up hitting the cone,” noted Grand Forks RCMP’s Cpl. Richard Lanz. “There was no damage to the vehicle but this could be a very serious matter when someone puts traffic hazards on the highway when they’re not needed.”
Lanz added the incident could have turned into a serious accident.
