Quesnel Fire Department turns 2020 to 2021 battling blaze

Members of the volunteer department were called to the scene just before midnight on Dec. 31

Quesnel firefighters rang in the new year on location, battling a small blaze.

The call for volunteers to respond went out just before midnight, for a fire on Adams Street.

The fire appears to have entered the ceiling of the structure, before being extinguished by Quesnel volunteer firefighters.

Crews spent 2020 and 2021 getting the fire under control.

There were no injuries because of the blaze.
