Quesnel RCMP looking for details on Friday night shooting

Police responded to North Fraser Drive on the evening of Aug. 28, recovering casings

No houses or vehicles were hit after a shooting in West Quesnel over the weekend, according to Quesnel RCMP.

Police say they received a call reporting the shots at around 9:45 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28.

Witnesses saw a silver SUV speeding off after the shooting.

“Police located several spent casings on the road, and the investigation into the shooting is ongoing,” Sgt. Richard Weseen said.

The casings were found on North Fraser Drive, near Fuller Avenue.

Any potential witnesses are asked to call Quesnel RCMP at 250-992-9211 or call Crime Stoppers.
