Quesnel residents can drop off real Christmas trees for chipping between Dec. 25 and Jan. 10

The City of Quesnel takes the trees to the landfill, where they will be chipped for compost

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, what do we do with you when we are finished celebrating?

If you have a real Christmas tree this year, you can drop it off at a variety of locations throughout Quesnel to be eventually chipped into compost.

Once you have removed all your decorations from your tree, you can drop it off at the following locations between Dec. 25 and Jan. 10:

• Johnston Avenue Park

• LeBourdais Park, by the spray park

• Weldwood Park on Walkem Street

• Nadeau Street, by the mailboxes

• North Fraser Drive at Foster

• Lewis Drive, at the rink

• Abbott Drive at Beath Street

• Webster Street Park

• Roddis Street, at Cariboo Field

• Robertson Street Park, near the trail entrance

• Sugarloaf Park, at Foster Street

• Ramey Park, at 2882 Quesnel-Hydraulic Road

The trees are taken to the landfill and will later be chipped into compost, according to a news release from the City of Quesnel.
