With the Quesnel Visitor’s Centre closed for renovations, guests won’t have to look far for their temporary digs.
The centre has pulled up shop, and moved across the parking lot into the Billy Barker Days Headquarters.
The Visitor’s Centre coordinator, Faith Johnston, said they have been prepping for the move for the past eight weeks.
“This year has definately been a challenge, but an exciting challenge,” she said.”
The Quesnel Visitor’s Centre and Museum are closed for renovations, and are expected to re-open in March of 2021.

Johnston said she is already planning the grand opening for the new building.
“It’s going to be a beautiful space,” she said.
Johnston said the temporary location has a lower capacity due to COVID-19 restrictions.
“It will do for the winter, as it slows down quite a bit,” she said. “Our numbers are definately down, but we’re seeing a lot of locals, a lot of people from the Cariboo and Lower Mainland coming to visit.”
The Visitor’s Centre is run by Quesnel and District Chamber of Commerce.
