Quiet Victoria Day weekend for Search and Rescue

One call came to KHSAR, stood down while en route

For as busy as Victoria Day weekend can be, the Kent-Harrison Search and Rescue volunteers had a quiet few days.

According to Neil Brewer, KHSAR manager, there was only one Search and Rescue call, which was called off while volunteers were en route.

KHSAR members were on site at the Harrison Lake boat launch to hand out safety information on Friday (May 21) and Saturday (May 22). This safety awareness campaign comes off the heels of three years of steadily increasing calls for people needing help on lakes, in parks and on forest service roads across the Fraser Valley.
