Incumbent Mayor

When asked why I was seeking re-election as Mayor of 100 Mile, the answer was easy.

I believe that when a community has been good to you, it’s your civic responsibility to give back to that community and leave it a better place than when we arrived.

This past term as Mayor has set the table for an exciting sustainable future for 100 Mile. But we are not finished – with your ongoing support and that of the new Council it is my wish to:

• Continue the strong fiscal stewardship residents deserve;

• Minimize tax increases through efficiencies in the work place;

• Continue to build reserve funds for future capital projects;

• Continue working with Cariboo Regional District to establish mutually beneficial service delivery;

• Continue to make our community more accessible for our senior and disabled residents – to become known as an age-friendly destination community;

• Continue to foster an environment where business and industry can grow;

• Continue to build strong relationships with our staff and stakeholder organizations in the region; and

• Continue our efforts to support the RCMP to rid the region of grow ops and related criminal activity.

These are just a few of the areas that I view as critical to developing our community so that we’re competitive, affordable, safe and attractive to both long-term residents and those yet to make 100 Mile their home and place of business.

With the ongoing support of our residents; as Mayor of 100 Mile, I pledge to continue to represent your interests in the open, honest and co-operative manner that you deserve.
