Rain didn’t keep people away from the Interior Provincial Exhibition Thursday.
The second day of the five-day Armstrong fair attracted 16,105 people. That compares to 19,105 for the same day in 2012.
“The numbers are down because of the weather,” said Bryan Burns, general manager.
However, he says there was positive feedback from those who showed up.
It’s anticipated there will be large crowds today, Saturday and Sunday.
“The weather looks awesome,” said Burns.
Last year’s overall attendance was 150,170 and a similar crowd is anticipated for this year.
