A 27-year-old man from Kelowna is facing charges after a Bank of Montreal was robbed this morning.
The Bank of Montreal located at 1141 Harvey Avenue became the third BMO in less than 10 days to be robbed in Kelowna when the suspect entered the bank and advised the teller he had a weapon and wanted a large sum of money.
While police are not disclosing how much he managed to snag, the robber did procure funds from the institution before making off with the cash on foot, running toward the Capri Centre Mall.
Police located a man matching the suspect description a short time later near the corner of Burtch and Springfield Roads. He was arrested and remains in police custody at this time.
The investigation is ongoing. He is expected in court Friday morning.
