RCMP confirm death of Penticton male non-suspicious

Adult male died at 3 Mile Municipal Beach

RCMP have determined foul play was not involved in the death of a man at 3 Mile Beach Municipal Park on Tuesday afternoon.

Cpl. Dan Moskaluk said B.C. Ambulance Services was requested to attend the beach at 4:22 p.m. for a male in medical distress. As a result of the man being pronounced deceased at the scene, the Penticton RCMP was dispatched to attend along with the B.C. Coroners Services.

“RCMP investigators have confirmed that the deceased male, believed to be in his early 60’s, was assisted by other beach goers at the location. Good Samaritans administered first aid, however were unable to revive the male,” said Moskaluk in a press release.

The Penticton RCMP and B.C. Coroners Service are continuing their investigation into the non-suspicious death.
