On Wednesday, the Kelowna RCMP drug section took down a grow operation on Charleswood Drive.

After recent 3,600 and a 5,500 pot plant busts over the last week, Wednesday’s bust of 150 marijuana plants seemed rather small.

But, according to Kelowna RCMP Const. Kris Clark, 150 plants is a “typical grow.”

“No arrests have yet been made, but we will be seeking warrants for the arrest of a 30-year-old Kelowna woman and a 37-year-old Kelowna man,” said Clark.

Clark said Wednesday’s bust didn’t appear to be as sophisticated as the last two grow operations and he wasn’t aware of any sort of illegal hydro bypass.

“It does appear that there was a previous larger grow in the past, but it’s been somewhat dismantled by the grower.”
