One person received minor injuries as a result of a four-vehicle accident just after 5 p.m. Sunday in the 1700-block of Highway 97 just north of Penticton.
When police arrived they found everyone out of the vehicles and debris strewn across the highway which was temporarily reduced to one lane.
According to Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth a northbound, red, Pontiac G5 swerved into oncoming traffic striking a southbound white Toyota Corolla. A white Honda Civic which was also southbound, swerved to avoid the initial accident, but struck a northbound Jeep Wrangler.
The driver of the Pontiac was taken to Penticton Regional Hospital and was also charged under the Motor Vehicle Act for failing to keep right.
Prowlers in Okanagan Falls
Penticton RCMP are continuing to investigate some suspicious ocurrences overnight Monday in Okanagan Falls.
Prowlers with flashlights were observed on two occasions, the first just after midnight and the other about 3:30 a.m.
Vehicles were also involved and police are advising residents to be on the lookout for any suspicious behaviour and report it.
Vehicle break and enter
A vehicle in the 2000-block of Quebec Street was broken into sometime overnight Sunday and a number of items were stolen.
Taken was a Samick Traditional Recurve bow, carbon-fibre arrows, along with a case and a tournament one belt with a silver and gold buckle.
Also missing were a Garmin GPS navigation system and sunglasses.
Entry was gained by breaking the rear window of the car.
The estimate, including the stolen items and the damage to the vehicle, was over $2,000.
Because the vehicle had been cleaned and the window temporarily repaired using tape and plastic, the police identification section was unable to gather any evidence.
RCMP thank the public
