Coquitlam RCMP is not ruling out a connection between shootings following the second shooting in two days.
Officers were called to a shooting Friday (Jan. 5) in the area of David Avenue and Mitchell Street around 10:30 p.m. where they found evidence of a shooting and “a victim who did not sustain any physical injuries.”
Staff Sgt. Ed Yoshiyama said officers are “exploring all avenues,” which includes a possibility that Friday’s shooting is connected to a another shooting that happened the day prior near Johnson Street and Glen Drive.
Police are now asking for any information from anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or been in the area of David Avenue and Mitchell Street between 9:00 and 10:00 p.m. on Jan. 5. Investigators are looking for dash-cam video and surveillance footage as well.
