RCMP Report for week of April 1- 7

On March 31 a report of a theft of a motor vehicle was taken by the Comox Valley RCMP. The owner reports parking the vehicle on the 2900 block of Kilpatrick Avenue while at work and returning to find his 1983 black F100 Ford pickup with B.C. plate ET0054 gone.

Drunk driving collision

On the evening of April 1 the RCMP attended a report of a two-vehicle collision that had occurred at the Shell gas station on Comox Avenue in Comox. The investigation revealed that one of the drivers was intoxicated by alcohol and was issued a 90 day Immediate Roadside Prohibition and his vehicle was towed and impounded for 30 days.

Power tools pilfered

Police took a report of a break, enter and theft from a building on the 2900 block of Ulverston Avenue in Cumberland on April 4. Thieves pried a door open to the Atco trailer and once inside stole several power tools.

Cops bag a burglar

On April 5 the Comox Valley RCMP took a report of a break, enter and theft from a residence on the 2700 block of Virginia Drive in Courtenay.  The culprit entered the residence through an unlocked exterior door and once inside stole two iPads , a Nintendo DS and a set of vehicle keys. Through inquiries by the homeowner’s neighbour all property was located and returned and the accused was arrested on several outstanding warrants.

Garden ransacked

On March 6 police received a report of a mischief at the Sunrise Veterinary Clinic located on the 800 block of Shamrock Place in Comox. Unknown suspects had gone into the garden and disturbed or broke several plants, paving stones, decorative rocks and a sprinkler pipe.
